Work

wow...have you ever had a glimpse of what it is like to work from home and then go back to work for a short period of time in a 9-5 type job? Well, that is just what I am doing...for a friend. I have a home based business and love it, but a friend called me a few weeks ago & wanted me to work for her at her job while she is out for surgery. Well, I agreed and just started today. I will cover for her until the end of April, when she returns. It was really hard to get out of bed so early again &have to be somewhere by 8:00, when, as I work from home, I can get up whenever I feel like it and don't have any appointments before 9:00...and all of them are on the phone, so I don't even have to get ready...makeup, business attire, drive time, etc... It really makes you thankful that your job is working from home!

Cabbage rolls / Micky Dees

OK, so when I was pregnant with E, I really planned on making sure he had nutritious meals ALL of the time...great idea, but not very practical or logical... Then when we moved to the country, he discovered cheeseburgers.

Now, any other time he will eat most anything that you put in front of him, and he even likes spinach! But tonight, DH called & said he was going to be late, due to a problem at work and I had to pick up E a little later than usual. SO, on our way home he informed me that he wanted a cheeseburger. Normally, I would have deterred him from even thinking about it, but he had a good idea. So, I turned around and we went to McDs. This gave me the time I needed to get the cabbage rolls in the oven so that when DH finally gets home, he will have something warm to eat.

It also gave me a chance to do something that I decided to start doing..... I really believe that we each have a purpose in life and that God has plans for all of us. I think that it is important for each of us as christians to do our best to share the Word of God with as many people as possible. Regardless of what others think or say... you were not put here to be "politically correct" and to skirt around issues that go against the Bible. You were put here for God's plans, not your own. I don't mean be a jerk and cram it down peoples throats, but be more like Christ. Give an encouraging word to someone that needs it, give a gift of your time to someone that just needs an ear, stop and visit a neighbor that you don't know, visit a blog of someone you have never met and leave a positive comment or strike up a new friendship. These are just some ideas, but you get the picture.

I have made a lot of new friends since I started working from home, simply by visiting different blogs and message boards. I have also gotten some pretty good ideas for things to do with my son & some different recipes. I think I will add this kind of stuff to my new website that I am currently creating. What do you think?

Wordless Wendesday

My Humerous Hubby posing for the camera!

Another day...

FINALLY! I think my computer is finally working right. My friend came over & overwrote everything & it now works better, but it is still a little slow. I think I'm gonna need to add some memory. After all, I bought my computer in 2001...and it is a Pentium 4. Yeah, yeah...I know, I need to just break down & buy a newer one...and I probably will later this year. But for now, I will deal with the slowness of my PC.

I got to do most of my phone calls on Monday. A lot of people are really looking for work at home opportunities. I feel so blessed to be able to share my opportunities with them. I know how it is... trying to raise your kids, work outside the home, get dinner on the table, keep the house clean, laundry done, kids fed...and so it goes... My husband is very happy that I am working from home, now. He actually gets a hot meal EVERY DAY now and it is usually ready shortly after he gets home, instead of 2 hours later. : )
He is looking forward to doing the same thing next year.

Big E has decided that he likes to ride his tricycle in the evenings round and round the house. Really funny, because he goes from the foyer, to the dining room, to the kitchen, to the breakfast nook, into the great room and back into the foyer again, in one gigantic loop! I need to upload the video on You Tube...it's really funny watching him.

I'm still working on my website. It is taking a little time to get things loaded, but it is slowly coming along. Any comments or suggestions would be most appreciated!

So much going on

Well, things are going pretty crazy as usual...my computer is on the fritz and I have 40 some people to call that are interested in working from home. It's really great at how many people are interested in working from home. I know when I was looking for something, it seemed to take forever to find something that was duplicatable and REALLY had true support from my peers. The team I work with is awesome! We help each other every day with phone calls and sharing our opportunity. I am so thankful for God giving me this opportunity to help other moms learn how they can work from home and do it without spending a whole lot of time away from their families and not spending a whole bunch 0f money. For the first time since I have been married (2002) I have been able to keep the house up, the laundry done, dinner on the table, and family time every evening. WOW! God is so good! Praise His Name!!!

Dear hubby has an awful upper respiratory infection...and little man has gotten a really bad cough. I wonder if we will ever get out of the "sick season"???? My mom is even sick & has a really bad cold & sinus infection. Seems like every time we turn around one of us is ill.

Got some good news today...my father in law may get out of the hospital this week. He was re-admitted last week due to a high fever & he had some sort of infection and his white count was up really high. He got 2 pints of blood and his hemoglobin is up to 9 now. We are praying for it to coninue to rise. I am really looking forward for him to get back on his feet again...and I know he is looking forward to it, too. He was really surprised that everything went so well. Amazing how prayer works, huh? : ) Little man misses him. But since he has been sick wiht one ailment or another, we have kept him away so that he didn't give "Big Daddy" any thing else to deal with. He is going tohave to go through one more round of chemo to ensure that there are no stray cancer cells and then, prayerfully, he will be done.

Saw a really great presentation this past Friday and met a wonderful lady. She shared an opportunity with me that is absolutely incredible. I am going to have to wait until I can get together some more money to invest in it. I will continue to pray about it and ask God for his guidance and if it is something that He wants me to persue, then I will be given the opportunity to do so. I am so happy that I have learned how to turn everything over to Him. I used to think that I was doing that, but last summer, I realized that I really wasn't. I prayed a lot and read the bible alot, and realized that I only had to hand it over to Him and I could feel like a new -person... and that is what I do now. Now, don't get me wrong... sometimes it is really hard, because human nature is to try & fix everything yourself. But, God is soooooo much better at fixing things!

Blessed to be a blessing!!
